This is another illustration of my serie of minimal illustrations or oneliners.

Today 's illustration is inspired by the restaurant I had lunch yesterday.
They had a huge wooden pepper mill. As I like fresh pepper a lot, I decided to draw one for you.

Day 179 - 3d presentation AMFI students Amsterdam at Trouw Gebouw

Yesterday and today the first year students of the Amsterdam Fashion Institute presented their brand concept at the Trouw building in Amsterdam.

Trouw is the name of a Dutch newspaper. In 2009, after Trouw has moved, the building has been transformed into a club, exhibition space and restaurant.

Day 178: Anthon Beeke, it's a miracle - exhibition and book give an overview of 50 years of graphic design

Next sunday is the opening of the exhibition 'It's a miracle' at Galerie Piet Hein Eek.
The exhibition gives an overview of the work of Dutch graphic designer Anthoon Beeke.

At the same time a book will appear. This book, that has the same title as the exhibition, tells the story of his life and designs. The book includes contributions of Lidewij Edelkoort, Erwin Olaf, Erik Kessels and many others.

Day 177 - Creative packaging design: lunch bags

Not new, it was designed several years ago, but I still think that it is one of the most creative and funniest packaging designs: the Anti-Theft lunch bag .

The Anti-Theft Lunch Bag is a zipper bag that has green splotches printed on both sides,
making your lunch look spoiled.

Day 176 - Trends 2013: are you in or out?

What is in and out, and are you in or out?

2Factory, a French motion design agency, made this wonderful animation in which they given an overview of this year's trends.

Even when you're not interested in trends, you should watch it because of the beautiful illustrations.

Day 175 - Food design: Latte art, coffee with your own photo on it

Did you ever had a latte with your own photo on it? In Taiwan it is possible!

Let's Cafe, a coffee chain in Taiwan with more than 200 stores, found a creative way to attract the attention of the Taiwanese people to their coffee brand.

You order a coffee, take a photo of your self, send it to the coffee machine and you get a coffee with your photo printed on the 'latte'.

A creative and very successful campaign.

Day 174 - New gardens of the Rijksmuseum in open with important Henry Moore exhibition

Yesterday the new gardens of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam opened with an exhibition of sculptures of Henri Moore.

The exhibition includes 12 sculptures and is the first in a series of annual international sculpture exhibitions that will be held in the Rijksmuseum's gardens the coming 5 years.

No work today. so I went out for some shopping.
Now I am going to watch a movie (at my home).

Day 172 - Creative hotspot: Sunday Market Amsterdam, shopping for art, fashion and design!

Shop till you drop and get inspired...
This is what he Sunday Market in Amsterdam is about.

The market is inspired on markets such as Camden, Portobello and Spitalfield in London.
Markets where shopping and creativity come together, where designers and students present their creations and where you can meet, eat and have a drink.

The Sunday Market in Amsterdam is held every first sunday of the month,
from 12 - 6 PM at the Westergasfabriek.

The place to be if you like shopping for art, fashion and design.

Today was a busy day. No time left for completing my serie of minimal illustrations or reading blogs and news pages..

Today was also a day on which I received several parcels:
- business cards
- flyers
- and a canvas I designed for one of my clients.

Day 170 - Typography: Photograghical alphabet Type the Sky

It's not new, it was designed in 2007, but as I like it vey much I like to present you
Type the Sky

Type the Sky is a photographical alphabet, created by Lisa Rienerrmann.
It consist of sky 'snippets that are framed by houses.

Finally summer has arrived!

Today is a sunny and warm day,
time for a swim and a sun bath.

Unfortunately (or luckily), there is a lot of work to do
So I decided to go back to my studio.

Now that I have finished my work for today,
I took a few minutes to design another minimal illustration:

Day 167 - Bosch Parade 2013: an impression of a wonderful parade

Today I went to Den Bosch to see the third edition of the Bosch Parade.

The weather was nice, there were a lot of people and the Parade itself was wonderful.
Varying form a misty isle, to a submarine.

Of course I took some photo's for you. Here are three of them.

Day 166 - Bosch Parade 2013: the strange and surrealistic world of Jeroen Bosch

This weekend is the third edition of the Bosch Parade.

The Bosch Parade is a parade of art objects inspired by Hieronymus Bosch,
a Dutch painter of the 15th - 16th century.

The work of Hieronymus Bosch, also known as Jeroen Bosch, is mainly religious in nature.
However his imagination turned his paintings into a surreal, imaginary and wonderful world.

The Bosch Parade is a tribute to Jeroen Bosch. Here's an impression of what it looks like.

Day 163 - Original and attractive business card

Imagine you own a cheese specialized store.

And you want to promote your store, in a surprising and original way.
What to do?

A business card could help... but then it has t be something special... Something like... a grater business card, made of light metal, able to grate all kinds of cheese...

That's exactly what JWT Brazil designed for Bon Vivant, a brazilian cheese shop.

Day 161 - Tasty and creative 3d design: coffee art :-)

Kazuki Yamamoto (Japan) does not only like coffee with milk, but he creates the most amazing and tasty coffee art projects.

Unlike most barista's, who make 2d images, he transforms your cappuccino into a real 3d art object.

Day 159 - Tomorrow's the big day: MoBA 2013 - Fetishism in Fashion

Tomorrow is the start of the fifth edition of MoBA, the Fashion Biennale of Arnhem (Netherlands)

The theme Fetishism in Fashion was chosen by Lidewij Edelkoort.
And it will be present in exhibitions, theatre, dance, films and workshops.

MoBA 2013 starts tomorrow, June 9, and ends on July 21.

Today I decided to make a minimal illustration of one of my favorite perfumes:

Day 157 - Funny and creative animated illustrations: it's no biggie

It's no biggie is a serie of animated illustrations, designed by Thoka Maer.

Thoka Maer lives in Berlin. She is a freelance illustrator and animator. It's no biggie is a satirical blog about our - endless - daily life obstacles.

Mr Printables is a website with creative and colorful paper craft for kids:
puzzles, paper dolls, invitations, hats and - my favorite - finger puppets such as snakes and birds.

Day 155 - Amazing 4D typography by studio Lo Siento from Spain

Lo Siento, a Spanish design studio, made a very special cover for Wired Magazine UK.

They developed a 4D typography by injecting a colored liquid into plastic bubble wrapping paper.
