Day 280 - Graphic design & typography: funny font, made from... eggs!

Handmadefont, an Estonian design studio, is specialized in developing unique fonts. the inspiration comes from everyday objects. Like e.g. eggs!

Here's an overview of the ingrdients of this font:
1000 eggs
10 pans
5 burned fingers
3 hours
1 bottle of oil

Day 228 - Chelsea, creative hotspot NYC

 I loved NYC: Central Park, Soho, and in particular Chelsea.

Chelsea is one of the creative hotspots of NY. It has the highline, lots of cafes, reataurants, shops and - yes! - Chelsea Market.

Chelsea Market is awsone. Have you ever been to Eleni's? This is one of the best cookie shops i have ever seen!

You like lemon and biking?
How about this lemon bike?

I got the idea when I was cooking. When I sliced a lemon, the slices mad me think of wheels.
This resulted in the sunny summer bike you see below.

I made this illustration yesterday, but forgot to post it... first time in 208 days :-(

Yesterday, I ate a kiwi. Not only very tasty, but also a quite special fruit form.
As it was a sunny summer day, I decides to make a happy illustration:
kiwi flowers!

A few days ago I showed you my checkers illustration.

Not the traditional game, in black and white, but a refreshing one, in summer colors with slices of orange and lemon.

Day 201 - Amazing and creative sculptures, made of... bread!

Milena Korolczuk makes sculptures of bread of famous people, such as Andy Warhol, Sartre and Straus.

After finishing a sculpture, she takes photos of it. These photos can now be seen at a gallery in Warschau (Poland).

Graphic designer Pawel Piotrowski (Poland) designed a very tasty book... a book you almost want to eat...

The pages of the so-called Sandwich Book look like a realistic and tasty sandwich: lettuce, tomato, chess, egg, meat...

Not new, it was designed several years ago, but I still think that it is one of the most creative and funniest packaging designs: the Anti-Theft lunch bag .

making your lunch look spoiled.

2Factory, a French motion design agency, made this wonderful animation in which they given an overview of this year's trends.

Day 175 - Food design: Latte art, coffee with your own photo on it

Did you ever had a latte with your own photo on it? In Taiwan it is possible!

Let's Cafe, a coffee chain in Taiwan with more than 200 stores, found a creative way to attract the attention of the Taiwanese people to their coffee brand.

You order a coffee, take a photo of your self, send it to the coffee machine and you get a coffee with your photo printed on the 'latte'.

A creative and very successful campaign.
