Day 360 - Product design: landscape carpets

Roosmarijn Pallandt, Dutch designer, designs wonderful carpets.
The starting point for her design are Google Earth photo's.

Pallandt herself says:
"Starting from a bird's eye perspective on a landscape and it's climate, RUGS zoom in to the pixel of a computer scree and results in carpets of 1 x 1 meter; catching a piece of the planet into a rug on your floor."

Day 285 - Photography challenge: Autumn (2)

The challenge for this week is autumn. A few days ago, I already posted one of my photos.
But I made a few more this week.

What I like about autumn, are the days that start foggy and end sunny. I like it when the sun peeks through the trees, like in the photo below.

Day 234 - Photography - natural patterns: aerial photos from Miami, Florida

Yesterday I flew back home... I had a wonderful time in the States.
New Yorks was really awesome. And I loved the nature of Florida.

On my trip home, I took some photos out of the plane. This is Miami.
Nice, isn't it?

Day 110 - Party time: Happy cows going out for first time this spring

This morning I went to a farm in my neighborhood
to see the cows going out for the first time since months.

They were so happy. It was great to see them running,
jumping, hugging and eating fresh grass.

Of course I brought my camera and took a lot of photos.
Here are just a few of them.

Instead of putting palants and flowers in pots or vases, he uses self-supporting,
hanging containers.

Day 80 - Spring it is, love is in the air - tree art

Finally, it's Spring!

Love is in the air: birds are singing loud and building nests.

And we, we are looking forward to go outside for a walk, a run,
a drink, a sunbath... and some of us express their love in a special way.

In today's paper I came across a wonderful photo sequence of hearts, carved in trees.
The photos are taken by Marc de Haan, a Dutch photographer.

Day 35 - Abstract landscapes

How abstract can a landscape become while remaining a landscape?

Gerco de Ruijter, a Dutch photographer, tried to find the answer to this question.

He used a long fishing rod with a camera on top, and took pictures of different kind of landscapes.
The results are amazing and look like a patchwork quilt.
