Day 329 - Poster design: Look with your heart (2)

Yesterday I posted an illustration that was inspired by a famous quote of Antoine the Saint-Exupéry (From: Le Petit Prince). I draw a large eye with a heart in it.

Today I decided to draw an alternative version:
a large heart with an eye in the middel.

Day 283 - Poster design: Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam

Today I Went to Amsterdam and visited the Stedelijk Museum. In the museum there is a large wall covered with posyers of exhibitions.

This photo gives you an impression of the wall.

Dingbats are great, e.g. for displays, brochures, banners, chalkboards, etc.

Today I started to work on a new logo design.

I made sketches, experimented with different colors and searched for a nice typeface.
On the internet I found the font you see below. Not what I needed right now, but still very nice. So I decided to download it. For free, for personal and commercial use (www.dafont.com).

Back home. My trip to the USA was fantastic. But now it's time to go bac to work.

Today I read my mail. The posters for a street theatre festival have arrived. I think they look great. Here are some photo's to give you an impression.

Finally summer has arrived!

Today is a sunny and warm day,
time for a swim and a sun bath.

Unfortunately (or luckily), there is a lot of work to do
So I decided to go back to my studio.

Now that I have finished my work for today,
I took a few minutes to design another minimal illustration:

Day 127 - Poster design: Reading aloud

Reading aloud is not only fun and cosy.

Reading aloud helps children acquire early language skills. It stimulates their language development and it also builds motivation, curiosity and memory.

In order to point out the importance of reading, 2VORM designed the following poster for the local library.
This poster shows that reading aloud can be done in different ways and to different persons:
baby's, toddlers, adolescents, adults and elderly.

Day 92 - Poster design exhibition '40 jaar Marag' in Dutch library

Exhibition - 40 years puppet theatre Marag in Oss (Netherlands)

Puppet theatre group Marag exists 40 years. In order to celebrate this, the local library organized an exhibition around the founders of Marag: Agnes Huijgen and Margriet Pulles.

Day 65 - My life as a graphic designer

Today was again a busy day :-)

What I have been doing all day?

Well, let's see...
I read and answered the mail, made some phone calls en scheduled appointments with clients.
After that I designed two posters, made some changes to a web design and delivered business cards and flyers to two of my clients. Just cleared up my desk.

Now ready to start a new project: logo design for a cultural institution.
