In the shop I saw these tea cups: so funny and so creative. The name of this collection is Undressed, and they are sold by Pols Potten.

Day 307 - Stedelijk Museum 's-Hertogenbosch
Today I visited the Stedelijk Museum in 's-Hertogenbosch, a town in the southern part of the Netherlands. The Museum moved recently to a new building, in the city centre. I really love the architecture. The photo below is taken in the corridor that leads you to the museum store.

Day 288 - Funtastico: exhibition at the Groninger Museum
Two days ago a new exhivition opened at the Groninger Museum: Funtastico.
Funtastcio is the first large-scale exhibition of the work of the Spanish artist Jaime Hayon.
In his work and projects he applies various disciplines and materials, such as textiles, wood, glass, ceramics, furniture etc.
Unfortunately, Groningen is not near where I live. Nevertheless, I hope to find time to visit the wonderful and surprising exhibition!

Day 284 - Graphic design: street art, Eye, Amsterdam
Yesterday, I was in Amsterdam. I started my visit at the Eye Film Museum. One of my favorite places in Amsterdam.
The sky was cloudy, it rained now and then. Nevertheless, I had the opportunity to take a lot of of photo's. When I walked around the building, I saw this piece of 'street art'.
Someone wrote 'ik herhaal ik herhaal ik herhaal...' with chalk on the pavement. 'Ik herhaal' means 'I repeat'. It was repeated at least thirty times....

Day 256 - Fashion design: extraordinary bags and purses at Museum Hendrikje (Museum for bags and purses, Amsterdam)
Museum Hendrikje is one of my favorite museums. It is located in Amsterdam, in a wonderful canal building. Not only the building is very nice, but the collection of bags and purses is also amazing.
In the museum you find the most extraordinary bags. These bags have forms such as a car, a house, a flower or even vegetables and fruit.
One of the bags I like a lot is the "Orange Bag', designed by Sylvia Moschard.

Amsterdam has quite some museums.
One of the museums I like a lot, is Hendrikje. Hendrikje is the Museum for Bags and Purses. The museum is located in a historic canal house. The collection gives an overview of 500 years of history of the Western ladies bag.
One of the highlights is the Cupcake Bag. The CUpcake Bag is an evening bag. It is completely covered with Swarovski crystals.

Day 249 - My visit to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam
Yesterday I visitied the Rijksmuseum.
One of the things I really loved was the giant ceiling painting, made by the British artist Richard Wright. He painted more than 47,000 black stars on a white background. What makes is special is that he painted these stars directly onto the ceiling.

Day 146: The Chambers of Piet Paris - Fashion illustration
Yesterday, I went to Arnhem (Netherlands) and visited the exhibition of Piet Paris.
With this exhibition, Piet Paris wants to provide insight into his work as a fashion illustrator.
In his illustrations, he strives to say as much as possible with a minimum of means.
His favorite subjects to draw are dresses, bags, shoes and jewelry.
Here are some photos to give you an impression of what the exhibition - that I recommend! - looks like.

Day 87 - The colorful building of the Dutch Institute for Sound and Vision
The building of the Dutch Institute for Sound and Vision was designed by architect Piet Eling.
The project, that was completed in 2006, resulted on the outside in a colorful building.
On the inside sunlight streams through the colored glass and transforms it into a cathedral.
The institute is one of the largest audiovisual archives in Europe. It contains more than 750.00 hours of television, film, radio and music (1898-today).

Day 78 - The Berlin Wall: East Side Gallery
The Berlin Wall was the physical division between West Berlin and East Germany from 1961 to 1989. It was also a symbolic boundary between democracy and Communism during the Cold War.
Memories of the Wall, however, are still very much alive. The most famous part is the East Side Gallery,
an international memorial for freedom. The gallery consists of 105 paintings form artists from all over the world.

Day 68 - Creative telephone sheep
Aren't they cute, these sheep made from out of date telephone parts?
You can see them at the Museum of Communications in Frankfurt, Germany. The installation, that consists of 32 sheep, is designed by Jean Luc Cornec.
However, these sheep are not only cute. They also show us how out of date phones get a new life due to a shift in perspective. The ability to see expired products and materials in a new way is an important one. It can help us reduce the mass of products we consume nowadays, and more importantly it can help us reduce the amount of waste.
